Make Your Own Almond Milk
Produce absolutely delicious almond milk with no additives and a deep almond flavour; it’s well worth the effort. It is also a great high protein drink, perfect for a non-dairy chai or hot cacao.

Ingredients
  • 500gm almondsblanched and soaked
  • 700ml waterfiltered is best
Instructions
  1. Soak the almonds in filtered water for 8–12 hours, then rinse and drain well
  2. Blend half the nuts and half the water until you have a fine pulpy consistency
  3. Pour this into a sieve that has been lined with a clean muslin cloth
  4. Squeeze the muslin and collect the resulting almond milk in a clean bowl, repeat with remaining almonds and water
  5. Squeeze until you have 625 ml of almond milk
Recipe Notes

After the first batch of almond milk you can make a second batch by adding add the same volume of water to the existing almond pulp.
